Commemoration Ceremony for Basiji Artists to Be Held on Thursday

TEHRAN A commemoration ceremony on the occasion of the first anniversary of the passing away of Abolfazl Aali and Dr. Seyed Abolhassan Husseini Navid is to be held here on Thursday, October 22, said the Public Relations of the Islamic Propagation Organization (IPO) Art Bureau. Since the early days of the Islamic Revolution, Aali, as a committed graphist, spared no efforts to present the values of the Islamic Revolution by his works.

Aali, along with a number of dedicated artists, who alike him, possessed sincere intentions, took collective steps to develop the visual arts of the Revolution. Their works are manifestations of the artistic history of the Islamic Revolution. Aali and Dr. Husseini Navid were killed in a car crash while returning from Ahwaz, Khouzestan Province. They were on a mission for implementation of a project called reconstruction of war-torn areas in artistic works.

The commemoration ceremony of Aali and Husseini Navid will be held at Behesht-e-Zahra cemetery form 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. and Al-Javad Mosque from 14:00 to 15:30 p.m.
